Saturday Morning

I'm off this morning to join my running club.  I have not been able to join them for the last 3 weeks, so it will be wonderful to see everyone and get out amongst the living.  I am meeting another friend to see a movie after my run.

I've had this hunkered down mentality that simply has to end.

Maybe the day off today and tomorrow will get me back on my feet.  I have felt utterly off kilter all week.

I apologize for not having anything worth posting....

  1. I hope it makes you feel better. I've tried to say this before, but human contact is contact with Christ, especially when it's contact with friends. Though i see the beauty of isloated worship, it can't be the end all of worship. Hope you have a good day.

  2. Hope you have a beautiful day! Both weather wise and people-wise. Manny is right-I believe-our faith is based on love and relationship and interconnectedness. God put us all together here to toil together toward heaven. imho! Blessings and Peace!

  3. I agree Manny, that human contact is contact with Christ, but more so when it is with those who are not necessarily your friends. I am thinking of all my crazy Italian relatives when I say this. I might prefer to be with my friends, but then I would deprive people who love me of my company. And the food is always good :)

    Have a great day MC!

  4. It's not a wonder you have felt off kilter. The best thing to do is get out and about as you are doing. Have a good run. I wish I liked to run.

  5. Joyce, if I was your relative, I would be another of your crazy Italian relatives...lol.

As to the type of people who give us contact with the divine, I'm not sure there is any type. Jesus seems to have been uplifted feeding thousands of people he had never met and He seems to have been uplifted by his apostles, who were His close friends. Keep this Jesus saying (one of my favorites) in mind from Matthew 18:20:
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
