As I wrote the sentence about everyone letting Jesus down, I thought - surely this cannot be right.Mary Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00156641491060184072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-696752275509036420.post-81117790960087025092010-12-03T21:35:34.525-07:002010-12-03T21:35:34.525-07:00I like this post my friend but why ever would you ...I like this post my friend but why ever would you get up so early in the morning? Lazarus comes to mind, John the Baptist, the three magi. Do you think Joseph (Mary's husband) lets Jesus down? I would say not.Mannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15396201693030286919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-696752275509036420.post-33737890633723293522010-12-03T19:30:50.447-07:002010-12-03T19:30:50.447-07:00Ros, I wish I could sleep until 7 - I would do it ...Ros, I wish I could sleep until 7 - I would do it every day. But I just wake up at 4 or 5. I never set an alarm, I just wake up.

Paul, the messianic secret is beyond my understanding. I will join you in wondering.Mary Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00156641491060184072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-696752275509036420.post-73726054714240886222010-12-03T12:57:15.999-07:002010-12-03T12:57:15.999-07:00I, like shadowlands, have also let Our Lord down. ...I, like shadowlands, have also let Our Lord down. I was thinking about this Gospel today and was struck by the way Jesus often tells his listeners NOT to tell anyone about his His miraculous acts. I know a lot has been written about this so called "messianic secret" and different reasons as to why Our Lord would have wanted this. I think this is probably the historical Jesus echoing across time to our ears. Perhaps there is something deeper going on here related to our salvation. I wonder what this could be and perhaps that is all I am asked to do.jangojingohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03768595208457396309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-696752275509036420.post-3978593756858969062010-12-03T05:59:07.143-07:002010-12-03T05:59:07.143-07:00Americans seem to get up really early! I feel quit...Americans seem to get up really early! I feel quite lazy with my 7.00am start (unless insomnia is staying with me, as she often does)!

I agree about everyone letting Jesus down in some way. It helps me to remember this when I am in one of my 'poor me' moods. He knows by experience the sadness I might be feeling and offers me His company. How often I ignore his invitation due to being distracted by some fleeting fancy.mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06962374096401238994noreply@blogger.com
